Halloween!!

We celebrated Halloween on Saturday and Sunday! Cheyenne dressed up as a witch and Hailey was a ladybug. We started Saturday at our church's trunk or treat. Cheyenne and Emma went around and trick or treated at all the car trunks. They had a great time and came away with lots of candy (too much!) Then we went to mom and dad's and did out annual bonfire in the driveway. I made a pot of chicken stew and we had hot dogs and made smores. We didn't stay long because Hailey was getting tired but this year was alot more fun than last year. Cheyenne really got into trick or treating! Sunday I took Chey around our neighborhood door to door. We only did 1 block because those little legs got tired. But she had a great time!

On Friday night, one of the ladies in my neighborhood, Kristy, hosted a witches brew! All the women dresses up as witches and we had tons of snacks and a costume contest. It was alot of fun!
Chey enjoying her marshmellow Roasting the marshmellow. The smoke from the fire bothered her eyes so she didn't stay long there with me.

Family Picture Day!

Jen and I decided to try to get the whole family together to do some photos. Once again we like to keep things interesting! None of the children wanted to cooperate. We both had this vision of the photos we wanted and needless to say, that didn't happen. At least one kid is not looking, or was crying etc. But we got them all in a picture and thats what we wanted. Here are a few favorites and some outtakes. I hope this will get easier when they're a little older! My wonderful parents and I

Beaufort

A few weeks ago William and I got to go to Beaufort for the weekend all by ourselves. Mom and dad kept the girls. We had a great time and it was much needed. I'm already ready to go back! It was great to sleep in and no "plan" our day.

Family Zoo Trip

Lasy Sunday my whole family went to the NC Zoo in Asheboro. It was quite an experience! Once again we attempted something with 4 children under 3 years old. We like to keep things interesting! As you can see Hailey finally passed out after lunch. She was getting a bit cranky! But the girls had fun seeing all the animals and Cheyenne even got to feed a giraffe! So cool!

Pawleys Island Trip

Last week we made the trip to Pawley's Island to visit William's dad and Camilla. Well, we actually never made it to Pawleys. We stay at their beach condo about 20 minutes away at Garden City Beach. The girls had a blast visiting with their poppa and Gigi and playing on the beach. Chey slept on the sleeper sofa in the living room and Hailey had the bedroom. Last time we let the girls sleep in the same room and Hailey was up at 5am for some reason, so we thought we would try something different this time. And it worked! Both girls slept in until 8am one morning and the other 2 mornings til around 7:15. We'll take it! We ventured up to Broadway at the Beach on Wednesday night. We did Build-a-bear there and they loved it. We had dinner at Margaritaville and that restaurant experience was better than any other we've had. We picked there because there is so much going on to distract them. They loved the music and the people making balloon animals. We were there over an hour and I got to enjoy the best burger!

Thursday morning I woke up with severe stomach pain. Long story short I ended up driving myself to the ER in the middle of the night Friday morning and found that I had a UTI that made its way to my kidneys causing a kidney infection. NO FUN! But antibiotics are a wonderful thing and now I'm much better. Neither William nor I got any sleep that night so the drive home was very hard. The girls did good but we were just exhausted. We had a good trip and loved visiting with Bill and Camilla!

Two Peas in a Pod

These 2 are playing together more and more everyday. Hailey is acting so grown up now! She is most definetly not a baby anymore. I just love these little girls!
