New toys to play with!

Cheyenne is starting to get to the age where she's not just "a sack of potatoes" as William says. She is so interested in everything around her. We don't have any toys for her. Just a few stuffed animals that were given as a present when she was born. We went to the store in search of some that we thought she might have fun with. We found a few. This one she has really taken an interest in! You blow up the outside part and fill the inside with a little bit of water. She just bangs on it and the little fishes inside float around. This is also really good to sit on the tray of the high chair and she can play.

It's officially summer!

The pool has been openend and the family had a cookout yesterday to officially kick off summer! We're so excited..now if the pool water will just get warm. We are headed down to Pawley's Island this Friday to visit Grandma and Grandpa Hollifield. We're hoping the weather is nice..maybe we can get it the pool there. I've got Cheyenne a bathing suit and little swimmer diapers so we'll be ready!

I'm a big kid now!

Cheyenne was making of mess of our bouncy seat when it came time for cereal. I thought it was time to try out a high chair. We set out yesterday to find one and found one that reclines back since she isn't quite sitting up unsupported yet. She did really well! She liked being up higher at our level. I can sit her in it with some toys while I cook dinner and she's much more content. She's 4 months old now. We'll go for her check up and next set of shots June 3.

Strollin'

It's been nice out lately so we've been taking Cheyenne for walks in her new stroller. She likes looking around at everything and as you can see she can't go anywhere without her "woobie."

Lost our buyer...lost our house

Last night we got a phone call from our realtor with some bad news. The person that was buying our condo is apparently moving here from another country (India I think) and had a job here waiting for him. Something got screwed up with his work visa paperwork and now he can't move to the US until next year. All the applications for VISAs were due in April. What this means is that he can't buy our condo, which means we can't buy our house. We are extremely upset with all this. I had pretty much packed this place up, there are boxes everywhere! The condo is not in showing condition so I'm not sure what we're going to do. It's back on the market. We may get one of those POD things and load up everything we've packed so at least this place will look decent to show. This is the 3rd house we've lost... We're beginning to think that we're just supposed to stay in the condo for the rest of our lives. So as of now, we're not moving June 30th.

Our little jumping bean!

I've been toying with the idea of getting Cheyenne a jump-a-roo but they are about $80.00...so I found this at Target for about $25, just in case she didn't like the whole jumping thing. She seemed to like it. I'm not sure she really figured out what she's supposed to do.

Smile!

In most of the pictures I post Cheyenne isn't really smiling...when she sees that camera it's like she gets shy. But yesterday she wasn't being shy.... this picture is so cute! Things are going pretty good lately. She slept an 8 hour stretch last night and only ate once...at 2:30..then slept until 7:15 this morning. Yay! Our condo is currently a mess with boxes, etc and it's driving me nuts! But we'll be moving soon into a much bigger place. I can't wait!

Cereal!

The pediatrician recommended that I start Cheyenne on cereal. I gave it to her for the 1st time today and she absolutely loved it! Towards the end she was practically looking for the spoon! We're going to do the cereal for a week or two then he said we could start her on vegetables. She's really growing, around 17 lbs now.

We got the house. We found out last night after 2 rounds of counter offers. We close June 30th, right after we close the condo. We got a lot to do!

New House

Here is the house that we put an offer in on today. It's 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 bath and a bonus room. We are really excited..everyone cross your fingers! We went and looked at it yesterday and just love it. It's in a nice, quiet neighborhood and about 10 minutes from my parents and about 20-25 minutes from William's work. Couldn't ask for anything better!

Condo Under Contract!

Well, it's finally happened. We received an offer on the condo this week. We counter offered and they took it! We are closing June 30th. We are now searching for a house. We have a few that we are considering. We are super excited because we never thought we would sell this place! We have alot to do before we move. It's going to be time consuming boxing everything up with a 4 month old. Speaking of Cheyenne, she is currently taking her 1st nap of the day and going on 1 hr 15 minutes! This is awesome despite the last 2 weeks of 30 minute naps... Maybe I've cracked it. :)

Some new pictures

Things have been hectic lately. Cheyenne is really throwing us for a loop. The past week she is really fighting sleep and is cranky. I can't even get out of the house for fear of a meltdown in the car. She seems to like sleeping in her crib and no where else, not even the car seat. Which is making me nervous because in 3 weeks we are making a trip to Pawley's Island to visit William's dad. I'm hoping she grows out of this by then. Today has gone a little better after the two of us taking turns last night trying to calm her and get her to sleep for 2 1/2 hours.
As a mentioned we are going to Pawley's Island, SC to visit William dad and his wife the weekend of May 30th. We're really looking forward to it. This will be the first time they have seen Cheyenne. We're hoping to go to Brookgreen Gardens while we're there and maybe it will be warm enough to put our feet in the pool.
