Some new pictures

Here's a few pictures of Cheyenne trying to feed herself. She has grown so much in just the past 2 weeks. She can now sit all by herself now, no support for a good while. She is doing 3 solid meals a day and loves to hear the sound of her voice. She'll just squeal over and over again! Sometimes I'm like "enough already!" She gets so excited over the simpliest things. It's amazing watching her grow up.

Who's going to cut the grass?

We got a lawnmover this past weekend and mowed our yard for the first time. We were actually fighting over who was going to do it. So I did half and William did half. The funny thing is in about a month or so we'll be saying "It's your turn, honey." I guess it's just that it's new so we're excited about it. The yard needs alot of work. We have more weeds than grass it seems...and we haven't had rain in so long that it's just brown... Anyway, here's a pic of William mowing the grass for the 1st time.

We're home!

We are all moved into our new home...well we still have ALOT of unpacking to do, but the essentials are out and we couldn't be more excited. Yesterday we went and bought a lawnmower because the yard despertly needs mowing. Today we went and got a grill. William has wanted a grill for so long and today he finally got one. He's outside right now playing with it. Boys and their toys... :::sigh::: Anyway, Cheyenne has adjusted ok. She definetly knows shes somewhere new. Anytime we go into a different room she's checking it out. We'll get all unpacked this week, this pack up again for the beach next Saturday. We'll be gone a week with my family.

6 months old

Happy 1/2 birthday Cheyenne! She is 6 months old this week. Friday actually. I'm posting this now because we are packing up the entire condo tomorrow and moving Thursday morning so I won't be on the computer for a few days.

Anyway, here are a couple of pictures of Cheyenne outside our condo and a few "bare butt" pictures. :)

My little gigglebox

Cheyenne is quite a gigglebox when she's in the mood. Here I am tickling her and she's just laughing up a storm!

Things getting crazy

This week has been crazy. Cheyenne is driving me bananas? But I love her anyway. She had been doing so well with her naps and night time and then Monday came. She was up 4 times. And it's been the same ever since. Last night she woke at 2am crying so I went in to her and it seem to make her mad that I picked her up. I tried everything and decided it might be teething so I gave her some tylenol. She went back to sleep 30 minutes later. Then she woke at 4:20. Same thing. The tylenol shouldn't have wore off yet so I tried to figure what else was wrong. William came in and she stopped crying immedietely. What's up with that? We left her since she was fine. I noticed on the video camera that she rolled over on her tummy and was playing. She started crying again 5 minutes later. Tried again, and eventually got her back to sleep. I don't know what the problem is. Any advice or words of wisdom is appreciated!

In other news, Cheyenne is getting more mobile with the day. I was making her bottle last night so I put her in her bouncy chair. When I came to get her, she was in the floor!

Then during her bath she wanted to play and chew on the faucet! She actully was pulling herself up to it. She's getting strong. Here's some video of her in the tub.

We are moving in 1 week! We are really excited and starting to get anxious. We got alot of packing to do this weekend and last minute things. This time next week we'll be in our new home!

After my bath...

I thought this was just the cutest picture. I had to share.

Cheyenne likes to help put her diaper on. She always grabs it and puts it over her face. It's so funny.

Growing up

Cheyenne's new trick: Playing with her feet. She does this constantly. Even when I'm feeding her, she's reaching for her feet!
Cheyenne is getting much better at sitting. She can sit for a few minutes by herself before she topples over. Our little girl is not so little anymore... :(

Bottom 2 teeth

Ever since Cheyenne cut her bottom 2 teeth I've been trying to get a good picture of them. It's hard because they are only half way out and she always sticks he tounge out. This is the best I can do for now. If you look close you can see the bottom 2 teeth.

She's done it!

Cheyenne has finally done it. She slept all night without any wakings, at least none that needed my attention. I did hear her around 6 am chatting but she must have fell back asleep on her own! Last Tuesday I decided to wean her paci because she was waking 8-10 times a night for it to be re-plugged and then she would take it in and out of her mouth playing with it. It's made a huge improvement in her sleep. She now takes solid 1 1/2 hour naps, as long as I get her down before she gets overtired and is sleep like a dream at night. She is also in a much better mood during the day, especially when we're out. She doesn't get cranky when it's close to nap time. She'll just fall asleep in the car. YAY! All that hard work last week has paid off.

Weekend of the 4th

Cheyenne finally let Grandma Lucie hold her for a while.
At the Fun 4th Festival

This weekend was pretty busy. Friday we went to the Fun 4th festival downtown. It was really hot but it was fun. We got a funnel cake and sat in the shade and ate it. Cheyenne seemed to have a good time looking around at everything. Friday night we went to my parents and had dinner and lit some fireworks. Then Saturday (my birthday!) started off kinda rough. I could not get Cheyenne to take her morning nap. She fought me the whole time. I eventually got about 40 minutes out of her. Then we went back to my parents for our annual 4th of July cookout and pool party. We had alot of friends and family over. Cheyenne got in the pool for a few minutes but I spent a good part of the day trying to get her to take a nap because I knew that bedtime would be awful if she didn't sleep all day, and I was right. She was up last night screaming for over an hour. Then back up again at 6:45 and would not go back to sleep. So yesterday wasn't much fun for me. Anyway, here are a few pics from the weekend.

Sippy cup

Lately when I have a drink Cheyenne is reaching for it and trying to pull it towards her mouth. So I decided to get her her own cup. I got a couple of sippy cups. She does really well with it. She can hold it and bring it to her mouth but she chews on the spout instead of sucking from it. Maybe if she plays with it a while she'll figure it out on her own...meanwhile it's cute to watch her try to be a big girl.
