A few cute pictures

Playing in one of the last moving boxes.
What a face...

Hey Cheyenne!

Cheyenne napping. Isn't she sweet?
Just wanted to share a few new pictures. I took Chey to get her flu shot yesterday. I take her back in a month to get the 2nd dose. At her age they have to have 2 shots. I guess they break in up into 2 so it's easier to tolerate. Anyway, she slept a little more yesterday but is back to her old self today. Right now she's crawling around chasing Loki and pulling his tail..he's not happy about it! But he just sits there and lets her. He doens't get up and move! I guess I better go save him. After Halloween tomorrow I'll have some good pictures of Cheyenne in her costume!

9 Months

Cheyenne is 9 months old now. It's crazy to think about! She seems so much more grown up than that. Chey is now crawling like a champ. She's cruising around the furniture some. She weights 23 lbs and is getting tall! Someone made the comment to me recently that she is so tall for her age. She is saying ma ma, da da, ba ba, and a bunch of others sounds. She definetly tells you when she's upset...she's got a loud voice! We take her to the pediatrician in a couple of weeks for her 9 month check up and for shots. Yuck!

Here's a pic of Cheyenne the day after she was born. Can you believe she was that little?

Climbing stairs

Cheyenne has officially found the stairs. She started crawling toward them chasing Loki, so I got behind her. I wanted to see just what she could do. She crawled up to the landing. (Oh, no!) Looks like we're going to have to put a gate there too. Already got one at the top of the stairs. Constant babyproofing now! I need eyes in the back of my head....I wonder if I could borrow mom's? :)

Lunch at the Park

Yesterday (Tuesday) was supposed to be the last "nice" day we were going to have, being 70 degrees and sunny. So Cheyenne and I met daddy the park and had lunch. Cheyenne got to swing for a little while. She loves it! The weather has turned cold now...with today only getting up to 59 degrees. Looks like we're stuck inside for most of the day now. :( I'm going to have to come up with some things to keep Chey busy!

Pancreatitis

It turns out that Abby has Pancreatitis. She is still at the clinic and on antibiotics. She'll probably be there for a few days.

Poor Abby

We had to take our cats, Loki and Abaco to the Emergency Clinic tonight. William's friend Jason is Assistant Director there so we feel more comfortable taking them there than anywhere else. The cats had been acting strange lately...not eating, and when they did eat, they couldn't keep it down. I won't go into any more detail....yuck. Anyway, we found out tonight, that Abby is the one that sick. Something is wrong with her intestine, they think some kind of obstruction. It's all in knots. Anyway, they are doing surgery on her right now...an expensive surgery... Anyway, we should know later on tonight what the exact problem is. Keep her in your thoughts.

Pumpkin Patch

Tonight we took Cheyenne to the pumpkin patch at a local church. The youth group was selling pumpkins so we thought that was as good a place as any. We ended up getting 3. William wanted 1 for daddy, 1 for mommy and 1 for Chey. When we sat her down, she was pulling up grass and trying to eat it. She'll do that in her push cart too. She'll reach down to the ground and try to pull of grass or anything around and eat it. Yuck! Anyway, here's a couple of pics and a short video. Halloween is just a couple of weeks away. We'll post pictures of her costume and the pumpkins when we carve them.

Power Wheels!

Mom and dad recently got a few things off craiglist for the kids. Here's Cheyenne sliding and riding the Lil Dora quad power wheels. She seems to enjoy it. I don't think she really understands it yet. I imagine when she gets to be about a year old she'll do better with it. Now she justs sits and we push the button and walk behind her. Anyway, thanks Jen for taking these pictures!

Visit with GiGi and Poppa Hollifield

On Wednesday morning we left for Garden City Beach/Pawley's Island. We stayed in Bill and Camilla's condo at Garden City Beach while we visited with them for a few days. Cheyenne did great on the ride down. She had so much fun on our trip. We went out on the beach a couple of times, although it was cloudy and raining most of the time. We took Cheyenne to the park and she got to swing for a little while. We also went to dinner one night at really fantastic restaurant, The Gulfstream Cafe. We got back this afternoon. Cheyenne cut her top 2 teeth while we were there and also learned to crawl on her hands and knees instead of pulling herself around on her belly. She's everywhere now! Here's a few pics from our trip.

Hay Ride at Steeple Hill

Today we took Cheyenne to Steeple Hill Farm. They had a hay ride that went through

the entire farm and made stops along the way. We saw horses, pigs, chickens, sheep and calfs. We even stopped at a pumpkin patch! Cheyenne seemed to enjoy the ride and we came home with a couple of pumpkin. Doesn't she look like a little farmer in her overalls? :)

Crawling!

Cheyenne has been crawling for a little over a week. Well, it's more like she pulls herself along on her belly. Either way, she's mobile now! I've been trying to get some decent video and I finally got a little bit today.
